This was my first time at this particular location, but it's the third or fourth restaurant of this chain that I've visited. They're located in a very nice, upscale area, with plenty of space for customers, whether you're dining in or taking out. The service was average, but the establishment was incredibly dirty. Everywhere I looked, there was trash. I understand that there are more people around during the holidays, and that some people are inconsiderate and don't dispose of their trash properly, but during busy times like these, they need to pay much more attention to these seemingly minor details, which are part of the normal daily cleaning routine.

On Christmas they decided to lock the doors with no signage or warning with a guy yelling 'mobile orders only' through the window. Manager was of no help either. No explanation, nothing. Just slamming the door on people. They can keep my order. 2/20/26 added photo of untouched medium fry. This is all the time like clockwork.

Visited on 12/12/2025 around 10pm. I am writing this review in hopes that corporate will read it and straighten out the employees at this location. They seem to make up their own rules here - rules that are frivolous, make no sense, and are not customer-focused. This McDonalds is located blocks from Grand Central - a very busy location. Many locals and tourists visit. Even though it says "open 24 hours" - they close their 2nd floor dining area by 10pm (maybe even earlier). Not sure if this is to prevent people from loitering and/or using the bathroom - however there are other ways to enforce this policy. At worst, they close it because they are lazy and don't want to clean it. Customers who pay for food deserve to have a place to sit and eat comfortably. Instead, customers are using any available space on 1st floor to put their food (on top of ATM machine, in corners, etc). I happened to find a spot next to a cash register. This area was not being used by any employee to take orders nor was anyone else using it for another reason. I decided to put my belongings there and eat quickly. Yvette (short Hispanic lady with glasses) immediately saw me and told me that I have to "stand on the other side of the register" (I was standing behind it). I listened and did just that. Five minutes later, she told a black male employee to come over and clean/wipe the area where I was eating with a wet hand rag. I tried to reason with that employee - stating that I would be finished in 2 minutes and Yvette said I could stand here. He wouldn't budge. Also need to mention that the Hispanic lady working at the French fry counter tried to put an order of French fries in my bag containing fresh flowers! Clearly she isn't fluent in English but common sense would tell her that fries should be put in a McDonald's brown bag before being handed to a customer - and certainly not directly inside a bag of fresh flowers 🤯 TLDR: this McDonalds needs to keep its 2nd floor dining area open until at least 11pm, have consistent policies that actually make sense, and hire workers who understand English. I will be taking my business down the block to ChickfilA from now on.

I was really disappointed with this visit. Such a tourist spot & what poor service! It is a known fact that anywhere In NYC, if you do not purchase anything to eat/drink you cannot use their restroom. Therefore, that was my first question upon entering the store. I asked her in her native language to let me in the 1st floor restroom. Her reply was that there were two upstairs bc the site has 3 floors. My son and I ordered and proceeded upstairs. No napkins, food was cold and the order was missing items we had purchased. I went to request my missing items and he said they no longer had any. Then why did the kiosk allow me to purchase it? So where's my money or the replacement! Unbelievable! The seating area was small upstairs with limited seating space on the second floor and disgrunted customers. The third floor was closed. Quickly ate to allow others to sit and ran to the restroom. Doors locked and a code was needed to get in! Ran downstairs and questioned if they could key me in bc I really had to go. I was sent to the manager who displeased stated ALL the restrooms were flooded! I told her I should've been told when I questioned before placing my order, I honestly would've chosen some other place to eat. She claimed it just just happened. Great, what restaurant would let me use the rest room now? Overall horrible!

MenuPriceTracker vs. Delivery Apps & Other Price Sites

How do these prices compare to what Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub show?

Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Seamless inflate McDonald's menu prices by 15–30% on top of the in-store price before adding delivery fees, service fees, and tip. The price you see on a delivery app is not what McDonald's charges at the counter. MenuPriceTracker shows the real menu price from the McDonald's app — what you'd actually pay walking into the restaurant or ordering at the kiosk.

Why not just check TripAdvisor for McDonald's prices?

TripAdvisor doesn't track individual McDonald's store prices. Any price information on TripAdvisor is user-submitted, covers only a small fraction of locations, and can be months or years out of date. MenuPriceTracker tracks store-level prices for 9,200+ US McDonald's locations across all 50 states, refreshed monthly from the McDonald's app.

Where does MenuPriceTracker get McDonald's price data?

Prices are collected at the store level from the McDonald's app, covering 9,200+ locations in every US state.
