I don’t normally review fast food. I review restaurants. I also haven’t eaten at a McDonald’s in probably five years, and I’ve never been particularly impressed by McDonald’s in general. That said, this is a newly constructed location, roughly six months old, and a coworker whose opinion I trust very much told me this was by far the best McDonald’s he had ever eaten at. By miles. So I decided to give it a try. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal and a triple cheeseburger meal with medium fries. Sitting here at lunchtime on a Monday, snapping a few photos, I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. The cheeseburger looks like a McDonald’s cheeseburger, but it actually tastes good. More importantly, I don’t feel ill eating it. The fries had to have come straight out of the fryer. Fresh, hot, and done right. It was busy, but there was no wait. Everyone was moving with purpose. Once things were caught up, instead of standing around, staff were sweeping, wiping tables, and keeping the place clean. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the operation felt well run and dialed in. I may not ever eat at another McDonald’s again. I’m not saying I’ll come here all the time, but if I am eating McDonald’s, it will be this one. I’m thoroughly impressed. Good job, McDonald’s. Keep this up and there just might be a future for the Golden Arches.

November 10th 10:30ish. Was the only one in line and waited close to 5 minutes to just order. Paying for the food went fine and the order was right. Get home take a bite and the patty ends up being raw. By the time we got home it was 10:50 and I was not able to go back and get a reorder. Please make sure the pattys for the quarter pounders are cooked all the way.

Rude, Unprofessional behavior. Childlike manager and workers. My 5 year old can resolve issues and act more mature. Saint Roberts is more professional and kind and definitely better than this rundown mcdonalds. It may have new equipment and look but that isnt nothing compared to kind friendly and respectful people who know how to fix their mistakes and not try and argue when litterally you have proof of what you are saying. Yikes. Be like saint roberts and act better.

Edited 1/16/26: Responses to reviews are generic. No direct contact is made unless you escalate the issue. Edited 1/17/26: I received an email from Audrey Woods, Director of Operations for the owners (Weinbaums) of McDonald’s Waynesville. The response was hostile in tone, reinforcing my concerns about a toxic work environment. I followed up to ask why I was blocked from the business’s social media page after making a simple inquiry and to address the lack of communication and follow thru on her part. I attempted several times to reach someone from corporate regarding an incident that occurred at your Waynesville McDonald’s location and wanted to follow up in writing. I went through the drive-thru to purchase a meal (11/9/24), and my card was charged for another customer’s order. I informed the employee that this was not okay and requested that my card be refunded and the transaction reprocessed correctly for my actual order. Another staff member then came to the window and stated that a refund was unnecessary because the difference was only a “few cents”. I explained that for transaction and record-keeping purposes, and based on being a business owner with extensive business experience, I preferred that my card be refunded and the correct transaction completed. I asked for her name, which she stated was Ann Horsey. At that point, the interaction escalated by your management Ann. The employee became hostile, closed the drive-thru window, used profanity directed at me and about me, yelling and screaming at staff and myself. She created a visibly hostile environment for the staff present and me as a customer. I was later handed a receipt very rudely after I asked for a full refund. I was then aggressively instructed to pull forward to the first window. I stated that due to the abusive incident, I was requesting a refund for the entire meal as I did not want that meal any longer. Staff was hostile again and insisted I pull forward while also stating that I had already received a refund on the original transaction, though no such refund appeared on my account. Eventually, an employee came outside to issue the refund. I recorded the interaction so there would be an accurate record of what occurred. The video is approximately five minutes long and is too large to send via messenger on Facebook, but I would be happy to email it to you for review if you would like. Additionally, yesterday I tried to reach out about this incident via McDonalds Waynesville social media page. I was blocked from the Waynesville McDonald’s Facebook business page the next day. As a customer this is appalling to have customer grievances go purposely ignored. I want to be clear that I have never had any issues at this McDonald’s location before. This was my first experience of this nature, which is why I felt it was important to bring it to your attention. I would like to know if any disciplinary actions has been taken for the November 2024 incident because scrolling through my news feed on Facebook to see her being praised was unsettling after what I personally experienced with her at your establishment. I have submitted formal complaints with corporate McDonald’s, both owners to their messengers on Facebook, Scott Cone (General Manager) via messenger on Facebook and the Missouri Attorney Generals Office. Thank you.

Great experience here. They were very good and friendly. Great for our basketball girls, especially since the Taco Bell across the parking lot locked us out.

MenuPriceTracker vs. Delivery Apps & Other Price Sites

How do these prices compare to what Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub show?

Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Seamless inflate McDonald's menu prices by 15–30% on top of the in-store price before adding delivery fees, service fees, and tip. The price you see on a delivery app is not what McDonald's charges at the counter. MenuPriceTracker shows the real menu price from the McDonald's app — what you'd actually pay walking into the restaurant or ordering at the kiosk.

Why not just check TripAdvisor for McDonald's prices?

TripAdvisor doesn't track individual McDonald's store prices. Any price information on TripAdvisor is user-submitted, covers only a small fraction of locations, and can be months or years out of date. MenuPriceTracker tracks store-level prices for 9,200+ US McDonald's locations across all 50 states, refreshed monthly from the McDonald's app.

Where does MenuPriceTracker get McDonald's price data?

Prices are collected at the store level from the McDonald's app, covering 9,200+ locations in every US state. Each store's data is refreshed monthly so you see real local prices — not a national estimate, a delivery markup, or crowdsourced guesses. The national average, state averages, and per-city averages on this site are all computed from that same store-level data.
