McDonald's Menu Prices at 210 West Peace Road ★2.5 (50)

I’ve been about 3 times and each time has been worse. I opened my burger to the picture that I’m attaching. It was 9pm, one car behind me. Sloppy and the fries have been like this each time. Disappointed with the new McDonald’s. Each time the workers are standing around inside and laughing and messing around. It’d be fine if my food was put together nicely and was fresh.

I waited a while to make this review because I know the location is new, however, bottom line is they SUCK across the board and have not improved one bit since opening a month ago. Customer service is SEVERELY lacking. Employees at the ordering menu speaker are always rushing you and get irritated when you don't have your code ready immediately upon pulling up. Sorry, but your app moves at a snails pace and does not pull up as fast as I pull up in my car. I do not open the app while driving on my way to the restaurant. When you give the code at the pay window they act like they don't know how to enter it. Is McDonalds not training their employees???? Get it together. When it comes to the pick-up window, everyone is standing around (4-5 employees) doing NOTHING. Meanwhile, our food is NEVER ready and we always have to pull forward. Ususally, just to the third window, but today I was told to pull to spot 5 then the worker immediately ran away from the window opening. Your drive through numbers are backwards and read from right to left. This makes no sense and it is confusing when you ask people to pull to spot 5 and I have no idea where it is bc there is a large vehicle blocking the view and all I see is spot 3 in a row of 3 spots straight ahead (#X #Y #3). Any reasonable person would assume the two spots to the left of #3 are #1 & #2. Nope they are #5, #4 & then #3. Your rude employee darted away so I couldn't even ask questions, yet she was within earshot and ignored me every attempt of me trying to get her attention. Luckily the large truck moved and I saw the spots were backwards. Finally, after waiting 5-10 mins for the food (2 burgers and 2 fries) it is was luke warm at best just like every other time we have recived food. Why am I pulling forward if I'm not getting piping hot food?? I've never had as much as a hot fry from here. Again, we gave them a few chances since they are new, but enough is enough. At this point, they aren't getting anymore chances from us. I live closer to this location and was giving them the opportunity to acclimate since they are new, but I will go back to the further location until you guys can do better. One last thing, how hard is it to make a burger and not get toppings all over the wrapper and bun??? Or have your burger patties all misaligned? Come on, it isn't rocket science. Every burger I've received has been completely misaligned and covered in condiments. Ordered a triple cheese burger with NO onions and received one with onions under each piece of cheese so it was melted in the cheese of each layer of the burger so I couldn't even remove them without losing all the cheese too. SEE PICS for proof. This is absurd! The food preparer has got to be doing this on purpose. The label clearly says NO ONIONS, which they slapped on the outside of the wrapper before making it. It takes more energy to provide such terrible quality food than to just do your job properly and follow simple directions. Being a brand new location - why isn't there Quality Control by managment?!?!?!?! Corporate needs to step in and handle this disgrace of a new location in Sycamore on Peace Rd before they run it straight to the ground.

I am genuinely confused by the number of negative reviews this McDonald’s has. I have been here a dozen+ times because of its convenient location, and the fact that there usually isn’t a line. I have never gone inside to place an order, I only use the drive-thru. The workers here are friendly and polite, even when I am there at 5:30AM, when most people would be sour to be at work so early. I visited on New Year’s Eve and was told “have a happy new year.” I get “have a good day, sir/man” regularly. They’ve never given me the wrong food or forgotten anything. The only real complaint I could ever have for this location is one time my McChicken didn’t have the extra sauce I asked for. Also, there are plenty of spaces to park because it’s never super busy.

Based on other reviews I'm thinking maybe going inside yourself is the way to go? My family went here for the first time tonight since it opened because we were shopping at the jewel. Food was great and hot. All employees were so nice and helpful! Especially, Crystal! I did see other customers coming in angry that their food was wrong and it was taking forever and there was no where to park? The man working the front handled it so well! We had a great experience " dining in". Thank you! 😊

Much better than Sycamore Wendy’s on Dekalb Ave. I got nuggets & fries both were hot & the fry’s were salty, overall very consistent to McDonald’s food, no complaints. Went at about 9:30 pm and had one car ahead of me so the wait wasn’t long either & the staff was quick & nice.
