McDonald's Menu Prices at 3002 Forest Ave ★3.3 (1461)

I ordered three hot and spicy mcchickens, the bag said hot and spicy, the sticker said hot and spicy, but they were all regular mcchickens. if they ran out of the hot and spicy they could’ve at least told me. i didn’t even notice until i got home because again, it said hot and spicy on everything. there’s not even a way for me to report it on the app. super disappointed.

Met the GM of the store this morning. He greeted me as i entered the store while he was mopping, which is amazing now a days. He was enthusiastic, respectful, and super helpful. A door dash guy was there and he said that he also thinks the GM is awesome and its a great store. Super clean store. Mobile order was very quick and correct. Will def order here again if im in this part of town! Edited for spelling.

It's a McDonalds at the end of day. Probably my favorite one in the Des Moines area as far as consistency goes. Been here at least 60 times. Your experience may vary, but mine is usually great in this location. I've had my 30 minute waits in the Drive Thru once or twice here, but what can you expect from people only getting paid 12 bucks or so an hour.

This McDonald’s has some of the worst service I’ve experienced. The manager on duty a heavyset male who spent most of the time disappearing instead of managing allowed employees to do whatever they wanted and offered zero support or accountability. I waited over 20 minutes for my order. When it finally came out, the fries were cold and stale, and several items were missing. The cashier on duty, a young woman with a long ponytail who did not have a name tag, was extremely rude. When I pointed out the missing items, she avoided me and then threw the items onto the counter without saying a word.

Food: its a hit or miss here. Some days, burgers are good, fries are fresh. Other days, burgers are meh and fries are stale. Service: from what I can see, the crew is hardworking, friendly, mostly professional. The downfall here is that there is no front end service. People wait to pay for orders, people wait for orders sitting on a shelf behind the registers. Its sad to see that personal touch of customer service removed from McDonald's. Atmosphere: the scene is usually the same... customers standing/sitting around waiting for orders, workers in the back taking/making orders and running them out the door, out the window or to the front counter, the dining area unattended.
