Over the years, it has become increasingly clear that both large and small companies especially in the fast food industry have seen a significant decline in professionalism, accountability, and overall workplace standards. This is particularly noticeable at McDonald’s locations, including the one here in Riverside, but it seems to be a widespread issue across the board. Uniforms, once a basic expectation in fast food, are now almost nonexistent. Employees, including management, often wear random clothes none of which resemble a standard or cohesive uniform. This lack of consistency not only affects the brand image but also signals a broader problem: a diminishing sense of pride and responsibility in the workplace. Customer service has also deteriorated significantly. Basic courtesy like a warm greeting, a polite tone, or even a simple smile is rare. The environment in many of these restaurants feels negative and unwelcoming. While the fast-paced nature of the industry is understood, that should never excuse poor attitudes or unprofessional behavior. Customers shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of employee frustration it’s not part of the job, and it certainly isn’t acceptable. What’s missing today is a sense of dignity and ownership in the workplace. There’s little to no accountability, and the emphasis on proper training and presentation has been lost. Companies should reinstate clear expectations: standardized uniforms, consistent training whether hands-on or through instructional videos and a culture of respect and responsibility. Most importantly, customer service needs a reset. Simple acts of kindness, empathy, and professionalism can have a powerful impact. These are the traits that build customer loyalty not just convenience or brand recognition. It’s disappointing to see such a dramatic shift in the fast food industry, and McDonald’s, once a leader in this space, is no exception. It’s time to bring back the basics: professionalism, accountability, and pride in the job.

I ordered the new Bacon Hot Honey McChicken Sandwich today. You know what it was missing? The bacon AND the hot honey. And this is the final nail in the coffin for this location for me. I have been patient. I've tried to be understanding. But it never fails that this location never gets the order 100% correct. For breakfast, they have given me the wrong sandwiches or incorrect amount of hash browns. For other food, they fail to follow the modifications I make to food. Like just simply adding more pickles. The fries constantly taste inconsistent. From either under cooked to over salted. And you better make sure you have the condiments or utensils you asked for. And the actual employees just never greet you or express anything. Just flat monotone and procedural. And when I have expressed these concerns before, they don't apologize and just bring me the food I asked with nothing else but a "here you go". So if you can go to any other location, I ask you to do so. Avoid this location. And I just decided to lose the $7 for Bacon Hot Honey sandwich because that's how much I have just accepted that this location just doesn't care at all

Ordered the new big arc and a separate item. They charged me for a big Mac instead of the new burger. I told them they made an error when they handed me a big Mac I told them I asked for a big arc instead. When they handed me the bag, they only gave me the big arc and didn't deliver my 2nd item. They said both items combined is around the same price as the big arc by itself, but in actuality I only received a big arc and paid more than I should have for that 1 iem. They didn't give me my 2nd item for the trouble or at LEAST refund me the difference, absolutely stupid.

Probably the slowest fast food place i've ever been to. Ordered at the kiosk (supposedly to skip the line) but there was already a group of people waiting and already complaining that their food was taking so long (first red flag). Either way I ordered and waited for 40 minutes just watching the employees running around when I finally decided to ask where my food was, i'm not an impatient person but i was running late to my doctors appointment and decided to just ask. They were so rude saying I'm not the only costumer being served and it isn't their fault... I didn't want to argue so I just waited since I had already payed for the food and they wouldn't refund it. I waited an additional 30 minutes for the food to come out just to have an item missing. I got the missing item 10 minutes later. I wish I had read the YELP reviews, save your time if you're in a rush and just go to another restaurant.

MenuPriceTracker vs. Delivery Apps & Other Price Sites

How do these prices compare to what Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub show?

Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Seamless inflate McDonald's menu prices by 15–30% on top of the in-store price before adding delivery fees, service fees, and tip. The price you see on a delivery app is not what McDonald's charges at the counter. MenuPriceTracker shows the real menu price from the McDonald's app — what you'd actually pay walking into the restaurant or ordering at the kiosk.

Why not just check TripAdvisor for McDonald's prices?

TripAdvisor doesn't track individual McDonald's store prices. Any price information on TripAdvisor is user-submitted, covers only a small fraction of locations, and can be months or years out of date. MenuPriceTracker tracks store-level prices for 9,200+ US McDonald's locations across all 50 states, refreshed monthly from the McDonald's app.

Where does MenuPriceTracker get McDonald's price data?

Prices are collected at the store level from the McDonald's app, covering 9,200+ locations in every US state. Each store's data is refreshed monthly so you see real local prices — not a national estimate, a delivery markup, or crowdsourced guesses.
