McDonald's Menu Prices at Costa Mesa — 92626 ★3.5 (1058)

Unsure about this location. It would be smarter and less chaotic to go a bit further to a different location to order. 🥲🫠 It is odd to leave a review for a fast food restaurant. But I naively viewed all franchises to have a similar level of consistency in food and service— Seems like they could get the majority of the orders incorrectly made here. I did a mobile order and waited with three other gentlemen who ordered in person. We heard the staff shouting my mobile order out loud multiple times for 19 mins in the back but the staff never brought out. Ie: "Mobile Order for (insert name)." When a staff member finally came out to put it on the Mobile Order Rack, she seemed so surprised that I was standing in front of it, as if when it was called in the back kitchen, I needed to run behind the counter/ register to grab it or shout, "Present!" like in an elementary classroom experience. I checked the app and it said, "Pickup in store," not at Drive Thru or anything if that's an option. 😵‍💫 The first business man before me waited about 10+ mins to try to get his drink order correctly made. They mistakenly gave him the wrong beverage but there was no beverage machine outside of the kitchen, for him to correct it himself. So then he waited 7 additional mins while a staff member went in the back to change it. It seems like it could be an easy fix to make a new cup with Sprite as the customer ordered but it took longer than necessary. The customer eventually got his correct beverage and the staff left the wrong beverage still on the counter, awkwardly in front of the register while taking meal orders. As for my order, I wanted to try the Regular Ranch Snack Wrap which should have ranch sauce (white in color with specks of chives or pepper in the sauce as usual ranch dressing). But to my dismay, each wrap had the spicy buffalo sauce, which has a darker yellow/ orange color and distinctive spice to it. No ranch inside the wrap at all. I thought the place could have made a mistake with just one and I just witnessed the soda ordeal, so I did not want to let the staff know because it could take longer for them to resolve than getting the food. Sadly they messed up on all three wraps. First time there and never again— Incorrect orders, no space inside (three tables and just room to form a line to order), long wait (even for mobile orders, which is different from the app), lack of service and care towards customers.

There was no one in front to take orders inside for close to 10 mins. A couple of people looked at me. I finally ordered and the frys were cold, dry and inedible. You would think they would need to make fresh fries considering the fact that my order took so long to get. Lots of giggling though. Glad they’re happy. I’ll bring back the frys and you can give me my $$ back or you can eat them.

This is the one McDonald's that is this slow in service. It's significantly noticeable compared to other branches. And it's not a one time thing. It's every single time that I've been here. Aaaand as I was typing this review waiting in the drive through, I was asked to pull up to the waiting stall because "it will take a while". I ordered 2 mcchickens. What is taking a while about that exactly idk. Corporate needs to do a performance review on this one.

I wish I could give service a 0 star we waited for 30 minutes for our order and there was no one inside besides us. Incredibly small portions. By the time we left it looked like a zoo. Don’t bother asking for help. Go through the drive thru instead. I’m sure that’s much quicker. It’s extra for any sauce. The water was “out of stock”. No dining area and they suggest 30 min dine in time max. It’s a joke when it takes 45 mins to get your meal. Go to another location

I had a really great experience at this McDonald's location! I was happy to be able to use the electronic kiosk to order my food and customize each part without having to talk to anyone. Shortly after sitting down, a worker named Angel brought my food to my table on a tray and offered me ketchup packets out of his apron. Never in my life have I received table service at a McDonald's!!! My weirdly specific order was completely accurate as well, which I'm grateful for. One star down for cold, bland fries but other than that, I'm thrilled. Thank you for the good meal! :)
